Online Auction Info + How to Bid
Welcome to PFSO’s Online Silent Auction! We’re excited to offer a wide variety of amazing items, experiences, and community donations — with most items available exclusively online.
The auction is OPEN and will close at:
Sunday, March 8th at 5:00 PM
Whether you’re bidding from home or joining us at the in-person event, it’s easy to participate and support Foothill Tech students.
How Online Bidding Works
We’re using Zeffy as our auction platform for the first time this year, and bidding is simple:
1. Place Your First Bid
When you place a bid for the first time, Zeffy will ask you to enter your payment information.
This allows the system to securely verify bidders and process payments quickly at the end of the auction.
2. Increasing Your Bid is Easy
If you’d like to adjust or raise your bid later, just use the bidding link provided in your confirmation email.
Good news:
You will not need to re-enter your payment details again — Zeffy will remember your information securely.
3. Winning & Checkout
When the auction closes at 5:00 PM on March 8th, winning bidders will be notified, and payment will be processed automatically through Zeffy.
A Quick Note About Zeffy’s Optional Donation
PFSO is using Zeffy because it offers free payment processing ($0 fees) for nonprofits, helping us keep more funds focused on our students.
At checkout, you may see a prompt asking if you’d like to make an additional donation to support Zeffy.
Please know:
- This donation is completely optional
- You can adjust the amount (including to $0) before completing checkout
- PFSO receives 100% of your auction purchase, regardless of whether you donate to Zeffy
Every dollar you spend on auction items goes directly to Foothill Tech PFSO and the programs we fund for our students.
Online vs. In-Person Items
Our online auction features plenty of incredible items — but it’s only part of the fun!
Many of our best physical items, specialty packages, and larger experiences will be auctioned off exclusively at our live Mardi Gras event on Friday, March 6th.
